Summary
[edit]DescriptionGolden eagle (14257549918).jpg |
A golden eagle along Highway 189 south of Kemmerer Wyoming. A large concentration of mule deer winter here and deer - vehicle collisions are common. The Wyoming Department of Transportation does a tremendous job of warning motorists and quickly removing deer that have been hit and killed, preventing further collisions with bald and golden eagles, black-billed magpies and ravens that are feeding on the dead deer. This golden eagle had been feeding on a dead deer that had not yet been removed. Photo: Tom Koerner/USFWS |
