| Description |
English: Golden barley and Billinge Hill It had been very windy and overcast most of the day but the wind blew the clouds out and left a gloriously clear summer evening. The barley in the field to the west of Upholland Road is just turning from green to golden and the hill was my destination - the long way round. 20 or so miles further west at Birkdale Greg Norman was settling down to his well-earned evening meal as the leader of the Open at the end of day three. will he be the oldest ever winner by the end of tomorrow? I'll be watching :) |
