| Description |
English: Golden Jubilee Clock, The Parade, Swindon; The clock stands at the junction of four pedestrian-only streets in the commercial centre of Swindon. At the base is an inscription which reads, 'Inaugurated by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh KG KT commemorating the Golden Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II'. This view is towards the east. Early evening shoppers are on their way home.
Since this photograph was taken the clock has been removed and placed into storage. When, where or even if it will re-appear is unknown to me. |
