[edit]DescriptionGoldcrest in Bush (10781745043).jpg |
Taken in the Garden, not so keen on the Goldcrest shots at the moment as they are noisy!! Should of used sports in these circumstances, windy and overcast!! So tips on keeping noise at bay, and thanks Mick Hodgson for the helping hand!! And everyone elso who Emails me like Louis Bain and Davy. With the firecrest, the goldcrest is the UK's smallest bird. They're dull greyish-green with a pale belly and a black and yellow stripe on their heads, which has an orange centre in males. Their thin beak is ideally suited for picking insects out from between pine needles. Status: Green Population: 3-5 million birds I can tell that these are on the uprise as last year we had none and this year theres about 6-7 regulars!! |
