Detailed description | Gold coin., (obverse) Horse standing to right with decorative trappings, a penon flies to the left above and a sacrificial post (yupa) is to the right of the horse. The legend around the edge commences at 9 o'clock., (reverse, not shown in this photo) Female figure standing to left, wearing loose garment, earings, bangles on ankles and wrists. In her right hand is a fly whisk (chowri) and in her right hand is a wreath or diadem. Before her is a spear with ribbon. ~ Description extract from BM record. |
