Description

Though a steady rain forced the planned outdoor ceremony indoors, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of attendees to the Gold Star Mothers and Family’s Day event at Top of the Bay Sept. 23. Hosted by APG Senior Commander Maj. Gen. Randy Taylor the event honoring the mothers, spouses and family members of fallen service members featured a tribute to the newly-constructed Living Legacy Forest at Plum Point, a brunch served by Top of the Bay staff and remarks by guest speaker Dr. Jill Biden, former Second Lady of the United States, the spouse of Vice-President Joe Biden, and honorary co-chair of The Biden Foundation. Gold Star families were greeted in a private reception area upstairs before meeting and taking photos with Dr. Biden.
