English: A gold 4000 reis of Portugal, struck under John V. The coin was minted at Brazil, which was a Portugese colony in 1725. The 'B' in the angles on the reverse indicate the mint Brazil. The coin is also nicknamed the 'moidore' which means 'coin of gold'.
