Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Going fishing Of all the loughs in the Irish lakeland centred on County Cavan, Lough Oughter is one of the largest and most extraordinary. Extending to 1464 hectares, it comprises at least a dozen separate arms in an extraordinarily convoluted pattern determined by the drumlin topography. The River Erne passes through the lough before entering Upper Lough Erne. The lough is prime coarse angling territory. Seen from the footbridge which spans the central narrows of the lough, within Killykeen Forest Park.
