Description
English: The remains of the Gallo-Roman villa of Goeblange-Miecher are located in the small forest called Miecher, in the western region of Luxembourg, between the localities of Goeblange, Septfontaines and Nospelt. The site was discovered in 1964 by the priest Georges Kayser. An Association named after him continues to excavate and maintain the site. The agricultural estate was built during the 1st century AD and covers an area of five hectares. In addition to two main houses, there is a small shrine and five secondary buildings. The place was surrounded by a rampart. 500 meters to the north of the Farm, several opulent Celtic Trevi aristocratic tombs were also found.
