Godtfred Rump had three sisters, Marie Diderikke Rump (1820-1894), Caroline Cathrine Rump (1826-1905) and Abelone Kirstine Rump (1829-1883). The lot at the auction contained three portraits, and this one is described as Søster Line strikker (Sister Line knitting), so it must be Caroline Rump, who later married Christian Jørgensen Neergaard.
