This apron is composed of a rich gray chin4 moire. It is gored, and has an elaborate velvetplastron down the centre, cut out in diamonds, and trimmed with black lace and buttons. 396 godeys ladys book and magazine. BONBON BASKET.

Although the little article we are giving iscalled a bonbon basket, yet it is equally suit-able for all sorts of dried fruits, sweetmeats,etc. etc., serving also to decorate the tableeither for the after-dinner dessert, or for therefreshments of the evening party. The modeof making these baskets is as follows :— Take a white glazed paper and a coloredglazed one—a pretty green, or a bright red,both look well ; cut them into strips, exactlydouble the width intended to be shown, andfold them so that the two edges may just meetat the back of each strip ; cut a round in paste-board the size of a supper plate, lay the foldedpaper upon it, the colored one way and thewhite the other, weave them in and out, so asto keep the squares regular, tack round theedge of the pasteboard with a needle and thread,cut off the superfluous parts of the paper, sewa wire all round, slightly raising up and con-tracting the circle, carry each end of the wireover the top, and fasten so as to form a handleof t
