English: Portrait of Marie Anne de Bourbon (1666-1739), daughter of Louis XIV of France, as Pomona.
Français : "Portrait deMarie Anne de Bourbon, dite Mademoiselle de Blois. La Princesse est représentée dans un beau jardin sous des treillages de fleurs, peut être celui du château de Choisy qu'elle acquit en 1716. A gauche, on retrouve Vertumne sous les traits de la vielle femme, à droite un amour moqueur prend le râteau de la princesse et se cache derrière un masque. On voit bien que ces personnages secondaires sont des prétextes à célébrer la beauté de la Princesse, personnage central à la peau blanche et qui prend toute la lumière. Bien que le thème et la composition fut utilisé à de nombreuses reprises, notre portrait est très vraisemblablement une œuvre originale et probablement une commande de la Princesse de Conti pour un de ses admirateurs ou pour l'ameublement de l'une de ses propriétés. [...] Le tableau porte au dos un cartouche à la plume identifiant la Princesse de Conti avec un vers à sa gloire et une ancienne attribution à Mignard."
