Description
Español: “Se trata de salir a la calle y explicarle a los ciudadanos y a las ciudadanas en qué consiste la reforma tributaria, los cambios a la educación y la reforma a la Constitución Política”, explicó Prieto (32), de profesión sociólogo, con un máster en Medio Ambiente de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, quien además es consultor en materias sociales, económicas y medioambientales.

Para Prieto, militante PPD desde el 2000, la descentralización será un eje importante en su gestión en la gobernación.

Con relación a la delincuencia y a las altas tasas de victimización en Iquique, Prieto apuntó a que el tema de fondo de la delincuencia es la pobreza, la falta oportunidades y la desigualdad social. Y en la medida que nos concentremos en reducir la pobreza, podremos reducir la delincuencia”.

Una de las primeras actividades del gobernador fue reunirse con las funcionarias del Departamento de Extranjería (en la foto).
