[edit]DescriptionGoal^ Preston Park - geograph.org.uk - 368695.jpg |
English: Goal! Preston Park The team in all yellow have just conceded from a penalty. Preston Park was originally meadow owned by the occupants of Preston Manor whose building can be seen to the left of the church spire. The land was opened to public use in the 1870s, purchased by Brighton Corporation in 1883 and opened as a public park in the same year. The wide open space is home to Saturday and Sunday league football in the winter, cricket in the summer as well as being host to open air pop concerts. |
