Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Gneiss, Amphibolite and Granite. This is a close-up of part of the rock face, showing the dark amphibolite of a Scourie dyke cutting the grey Badcallian gneiss, and both being cut by a granite vein which was subsequently deformed. The whole field of view is about 200 mm high; unfortunately it was reachable only by an awkward scramble and there was nowhere I could place a coin to give a scale.
