[edit]DescriptionGloucester Central past the WR Locomotive Depot geograph-2551601-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Two 2-6-2Ts bring a London express from Cheltenham into Gloucester Central, past the WR Locomotive Depot. View northward from Gloucester Eastgate station, towards Cheltenham and the north to the right, also Swindon and London. It was unusual to see two 2-6-2Ts on one of these trains, especially not bunker-to-bunker: they are '5101' class Nos. 5194 and 5198 (built 10/ and 11/34), working the 11.45 from Cheltenham St James' on the first stage of its journey to Paddington. The tracks in the foreground go through the ex-Midland Eastgate station towards Bristol. |
