Miss Christy Denies Victim Of Crash Was Sweetheart. John De Mirjian, well known theatrical photographer, who was killed Monday when his car overturned on the Jericho turnpike, was only a good friend, Gloria Christy, show girl, said yesterday at Nassau County Hospital, who crawled slightly injured from the wreckage of the De Mirjian car, Gloria Christy said they were returning from a visit to upstate friends when the accident occurred at 2 a.m. "We were not sweethearts," she said. "We were merely the best of friends. We appreciated each other, but it was a sort of brother and sister affection. The talk of a romance between us is not true." Gloria suffered chiefly from shock and is well on the road to recovery. The body of her escort was claimed yesterday by his brother, Simon De Mirjian, his business associate.
