[edit]DescriptionGlimpse of a dilapidated barn - geograph.org.uk - 1016411.jpg |
English: Glimpse of a dilapidated barn. Belonging to Street Farm, on The Street. See also > 1016405. The east wall adjoins a concrete hardstand and the small gap between is very much overgrown; obtaining a detailed view is very difficult. This is a three-stead barn, constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond on a brick and flint plinth, with a hipped thatched roof. There are a pair of central double doors, flanked by a thin pilaster strip, right and left on its west side and a low pedestrian doorway at the right. The north wall has a date stone > 1016408 with the letters M above T & C, and the date 1742.
Horsey is a National Trust Nature reserve located on the northern reach of the Norfolk Broads. Horsey is famous for its fully restored restored wind pump > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/471133 which is four stories high and open to visitors. Horsey itself is a small village with a beautiful thatched church > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/883751. Access to the beach is possible from various locations alongside the coast; a colony of seals can often be seen on some section of beach between Horsey Gap > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/995218 Crinkle Hill Gap > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1016217 and Bramble Hill Gap > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1016257. |
