Italiano: la foto ritrae una parte del reparto arditi del 40° fanteria della brigata Bologna.

Al centro il tenente Arturo Avolio[1], medaglia d'argento sul Montello, medaglia di bronzo sul Grappa e Croce al merito di guerra, comandante del reparto arditi.
