Description
English: Gleying in glacial till Gleying results in soils which have a tendency to become waterlogged. The parent material here was glacial till which had both grass and a nearby stand of deciduous trees growing on it. The thin black layer at the bottom of the grey layer, is redeposited organic material carried down from the surface by rain water.
