| Description |
English: Site of former Glenside station. View NE, towards Ayr: ex-G&SWR (Maidens & Dunure Light Railway) Ayr - Turnberry - Girvan line. The station closed to passengers 1/12/30, to goods 28/2/55 when the line was closed throughout. However, passenger services were restored Ayr - Maidens 7/32 - 5/33 and Maidens - Girvan until 3/42; moreover, to serve the Holiday Camp at Heads of Ayr, a service ran to there from Ayr 5/47 - 12/68, i.e. well north of Glenside. |
