| Description |
English: Glen Doll Car park The public road end in Glen Clova, seen from near the Rives landslip on Cairn Broadlands. My relatively new Harvey's map of Lochnagar shows a lot of tourist facilities here: Youth hostel and mountain rescue post, camp site, toilets, car park. Of these, only the car park and an emergency telephone survives.
Given the importance of this glen junction to cross country travellers, several Mounth roads meet here, some restoration of camping is required. Sadly this is held up on grounds of cost. Thanks to facilities bloat, the proposed replacement site was too expensive. Just a hassle free spot to stick a tent, water and simple sanitation is required. The planners have other ideas. |
