Summary
[edit]DescriptionGlen Dessarry - geograph.org.uk - 1129105.jpg |
English: Glen Dessarry Dropping down to the glen which at the time that Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard at Glenfinnin provided 200 fighting men. Almost one hundred years later the 1841 census recorded just one inhabited house. On the far side the ridge of Monadh Gorm over which the Prince is said to have crossed to avoid the Redcoats at Strathan. Of course there would be no conifers in those days. |
