Atfirst for a few nights while it was quite coolI gave them a heated brick; but I am led tobelieve it was not necessary; for one nightwhen it seemed warm I omitted it, and itturned suddenly cold with a trace of frost.They were only about four days old, and Iwent out just at daylight with fear (andtrembling) that they might all be stiff withcold.
