Description
Hrvatski: Franjo Glavinić, franjevac. (Kanfanar u Istri, 1585. - Trsat, 1652.) bio je franjevac Bosansko-hrvatske provincije sv. Križa, koja je okupljala samostane u zapadnoj Hrvatskoj i zapadnoj Sloveniji, provincijal te franjevačke pokrajine i dugogodišnji starješina samostana na Trsatu, preureditelj Trsatskoga svetišta i njegov povjesnik. Bio je širitelj katoličke obnove u duhu Tridentskoga sabora u svojim pisanim djelima na hrvatskome i talijanskome jeziku. Budući da je dobro poznavao sva tri hrvatska narječja, trudio se oko izgradnje jedinstvenoga hrvatskoga književnog jezika pa se danas spominje među pripadnicima tzv. ozaljskog književnog i filološkog kruga pod pokroviteljstvom Frankopana i Zrinskih.
