Summary

[edit]
Description
English: From a French text of the same lamp I quote (translated): "Mosque lamp with inscriptions in Thuluth writing, early 14th century, Mamluk period Egypt or Syria, glass with enamel decoration and gold painting 34 cm high. This type of lamp has been produced in numerous copies."
In a book I found the lamp caries the name of Sultan an-Nasir Muhammad. On the top part is Surah 24,35 that describes how God is light.
