[edit]DescriptionGlass goblet Georg Franz Kreybich 1662 1736 Between 1700 1730.jpg |
Čeština: Skleněný pohár datovaný do let 1700 až 1730. Autorem je nejspíše rytec Georg Franz Kreybich (1662–1736) z Kamenického Šenova (severní Čechy). Jemné a mimořádně vzácné sklo foukané a broušené na kruhu s rostlinnými motivy doplněnými kudrlinkami ornamentálního zobrazení listů či celé rostliny paznehtíku (tzv. stylizovaný barokní akant), postavami a lovícími rytíři.
English: Glass cup dating from 1700 to 1730. The author is probably the engraver Georg Franz Kreybich (1662-1736) from Kamenický Šenov (northern Bohemia). Fine and extremely rare glass blown and cut on a circle with floral motifs complemented by curls of ornamental depictions of leaves or the whole (Acanthaceae) plant (stylized Baroque acanthus), figures and hunting knights. In the base of the cup are fine strands of twisted glass ruby, typical for glass products of that time in North Bohemia. At the top edge of the cup is the German inscription "Freunschaft machen gemein ist, dass freundschaft halten steht fein"; (in English: "Making friends is common, keeping friends is fine"). The cup celebrates "friendship between princes" (this is symbolized by the crown and below it two clasped hands); two doves with an olive branch in their beaks signify "peace"; "trust" is symbolised by two hearts. |
