Summary
[edit]DescriptionGlacial erratics - geograph.org.uk - 1453615.jpg |
English: Glacial erratics The size of some of the erratics that litter the island is quite awesome! Gwion is a useful scale marker in this image of a cluster of rather angular granite erratics which are up to 5m maximum dimension. In this location it is difficult to imagine any agent apart from a glacier that could move rocks this size. A rough calculation suggests that the larger of these is around twice the payload of a Chinook helicopter! |
