Summary

[edit]
Description The Trent Hills consist of drumlins which are basically glacial till from the last ice age. As you can see from this old landslide just south of Glen Ross, there is no bedrock. The drumlins sit on a limestone shale substrate and consist mostly of dirt and stones. They are held in place by the trees. Unfortunately, these drumlins make the southern third of Hastings County ideal for sand and gravel pits.
