Slottet er blevet besat af svenske tropper ledet af kaptajn Manheimer, men nu planlægger Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og hans mænd at storme det. Ifølge romanen var slottet en forgænger til den nuværende herregård Høvdingsgaard.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. The castle Høfdingsgaard at a stream from Lekkinde Sø. The castle has been occupied by Swedish troops lead by Captain Manheimer but now Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and his men plans to storm it. According to the novel the castle was a predecessor to the present day manor Høvdingsgaard. |
