Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under og efter den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-58. En tjener, adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwald til Høfdingsgaard, hendes datter Karen Kaas og Ib Abelsøn. Elsebeth Buchwald og Karen Kaas er flyttet fra Høfdingsgaard, efter at den er blevet besat af tyske soldater i svensk tjeneste. Men Ib Abelsøn har lovet, at Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen vil hjælpe dem og fører nu an til hans hjem.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-58. En tjener, the noblewoman Elsebeth Buchwald to Høfdingsgaard, her daugther Karen Kaas and Ib Abelsøn. Elsebeth Buchwald and Karen Kaas has escaped from Høfdingsgaard after it has been occupied by German soldiers in service of the Swedish army. But Ib Abelsøn has promised that Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, will help them and now leads the way to his home.
