Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under and after den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen går hjem fra Jungshoved Slot efter en møde med dronningens hofdame Julie Parsberg. De to har været forelskede, men nu har Julie Parsberg afsluttet forhold. Svend Poulsen beklager sig selv, sit håb og sin længsel efter hende. Svend Poulsen (ca. 1610 - ca. 1679) var en virkelig person, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, walks home from Jungshoved Castle after a meeting with the lady-in-waiting Julie Parsberg. The two has been i love but now Julie Parsberg has rejected him. Svend Poulsen regrets himself, his hope and his yearning after her. Svend Poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction. |
