Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under og efter den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Kong Frederik 3., lensmanden Oluf Brockenhuus og kaptajn Kai Lykke diskuterer, hvorfor en ordre fra kongen til kaptajnen er blevet to måneder forsinket. Oluf Brockenhuus hævder, at han sendte ordren videre til kaptajnen, den dag han fik den, mens Kai Lykke hævder, at han først fik den for tre dage side. Kong Frederik 3. af Danmark og Norge (1609-1670), Oluf Brockenhuus (1611-1672) og Kai Lykke (1625-1699) var virkelige personer, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. King Frederik III, the vassal Oluf Brockenhuus and Captain Kai Lykke discuss why an order from the king to the captain has been delayed for two months. Oluf Brockenhuus claims that he send the order to the captain the day he got it but the Kai Lykke claims that he only got it three days ago. King Frederik III of Denmark and Norway (1609-1670), Oluf Brockenhuus (1611-1672) and Kai Lykke (1625-1699) were real persons but the story is fiction. |
