Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under og efter den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Under en aften på Jungshoved Slot kommer dronning Sophie Amalie hen for at tale med sin mand Kong Frederik 3. og hans kammerskriver Christoffer Gabel, der sidder med nogle triste nyheder. Svenskerne får hjælp af forræderen Ulfeldt, og andre lande vil ikke hjælpe Danmark i krigen. Dronning Sophie Amalie (1628-1685), Kong Frederik 3. af Danmark og Norge (1609-1670) og Christoffer Gabel (1617-1673) var virkelige personer, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. During an evening at Jungshoved Castle Queen Sophie Amalie comes to talk with her house bond King Frederik III and his private secretary Christoffer Gabel who are dealing with some bad news. The Swedes gets help from the traitor Ulfeldt and other nations won't help Denmark in the war. Queen Sophie Amalie (1628-1685), King Frederik III of Denmark and Norway (1609-1670) and Christoffer Gabel (1617-1673) were real persons but the story is fiction. |
