Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under og efter den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Dronning Sophie Amalie, kaptajn Kai Lykke og ridder Kørbitz vil krydse en bred å, men ridder Kørbitz falder i vandet. Dronning Sophie Amalie (1628-1685), Kai Lykke (1625-1699) og Johan Christoffer von Kørbitz (1612-1682) var virkelige personer, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. Queen Sophie Amalie, Captain Kai Lykke and Knight Kørbitz attempts to pass a river but Knight Kørbitz falls in the water. Queen Sophie Amalie (1628-1685), Kai Lykke (1625-1699) and Johan Christoffer von Kørbitz (1612-1682) were real persons but the story is fiction.
