Provenienz: Das Gemälde wurde 1743 durch den Kunstagenten des sächsischen Kurfürsten Friedrich August II. (zugleich König August III. von Polen) Francesco Graf Algarotti in Venedig erworben. 1941 lässt es sich im Tresor des Finanzministeriums Dresden nachweisen, wohin es kriegsbedingt ausgelagert worden war. Das Gemälde gehört zu den Werken, die seit 1945 vermisst werden.
