Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Girl Playing Astragaloi (knucklebone game). Rome, Eaastern slope of Caelian Hill. Marble, around 150 AD, head around 200 AD. The motif of the seated young girl dates back to the late Hellenistic model, which in the Roman version was supplemented by the game gesture. Altes Museum Berlin, Sk 494.
Čeština: Dívka hraje Astragalos (hra s kostkami, kůstkami). Řím, východní svah Caelia. Mramor, kolem roku 150 n. l., hlava kolem roku 200 n. l. Motiv sedící mladé dívky navazuje na pozdně helenistickou předlohu, která byla v římské verzi doplněna herním gestem. Altes Museum Berlin, Sk 494.
