Summary

[edit]
Description Basinghall Avenue in the City of London. The girdlers made both girdles and belts and the company got its charter from King Edward III back in 1327. The hall and gardens have been on this site since 1431, but the original hall was lost in the Great Fire of 1666, rebuilt then destroyed again in the Blitz; the current building dates from 1961.
