Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Gipsy Moth IV was here. The Gipsy Moth IV, a 54 ft ketch that Sir Francis Chichester commissioned specifically to sail single-handed around the globe stood here on display and open to the public for many years, but eventually due to general deterioration from allowing visitors to walk across her decks, was permanently closed to visitors, she remained on display at Greenwich until in 2003. This image shows where the specially constructed dry dock has been paved over. The Gipsy Moth IV can be seen here on 852043 and on Wikipedia's article on the vessel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gypsy_Moth_IV
