Description
English: Gill (lunar crater), on the moon. Note that the SELENE (Kaguya) spacecraft crashed near this crater.

Reprocessed Lunar Orbiter 4 image cropped in Adobe Photoshop to show Gill crater and surrounding terrain. The original image was overexposed at this location, so auto levels were used to adjust brightness and contrast. Also, the crater is located at the bottom right corner of the original image, so Gill crater is not quite centered. The original image should be public domain as it is a work of the U.S. Government (NASA).
