Description

NOW VIEWABLE AT ORIGINAL SIZE.

I've always thought this was rather an odd-looking statue. It looks as if the girl is performing some kind of elaborate ritual dance, but then why did the sculptor call her The Frog Princess?

Photographed at the Victoria & Albert Museum July 2007. I've whited out the distracting (and boring) beige wall behind the statue for clarity.
