Summary
[edit]DescriptionGiggleswick Quarry 2006 - geograph.org.uk - 231297.jpg |
English: Giggleswick Quarry 2006. Fine quality limestone is still being quarried at quite a rate from this quarry which increases in size every year. My understanding was that it was allowed to continue as it was such quality that it could be used in hospitals for casts etc. Blasting takes place on a Friday afternoon and nearby land shakes. |
