Description
Deutsch: Gheriat esh-Shergia: Die Umwehrung des italienische Forts Bacone. Die Befestigung entstand an Stelle eines römischen Kleinkastells, das im 20. Jahrhundert in ein italienisches Fort umgewandelt wurde. Der Ort befindet sich über der Oase Gheriat esh-Shergia am Nordrand des Fessan und der Sahara im Munizip al-Dschufra in Libyen. Das Photo zeigt die Nordostmauer und den Nordostturm der Anlage sowie den Abhang hinab zur Oase, die im Bild rechts sichtbar wird. Deutlich wird auf dem Bild auch der weite Blick in den Fessan, der sich bereits den römischen Besatzern bot.
