Background InfoField | Deep water waves: the mean water depth is 1.7 times the wavelength at the spectral peak. Modified JONSWAP spectrum (Donelan, Hamilton & Hui, 1985, Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond. A 315, pp. 509–562) with peakedness factor γ=3.3. Standard deviation of the directional wave spreading distribution is 20°.
