| Description |
Epcot (Experimental Planned Community of Tomorrow) is the second theme park to open at Walt Disney World, focusing on future technology and world cultures. The back half of Epcot is World Showcase, which deals with cultures of eleven different nations. This clock tower, with a beer hall inside, is supposed to represent Munich around Oktoberfest. Sadly to enter the beer hall, which is a full-serve buffet restaurant, means I have to pay the appropriate meal price. At this point, a day trip to Cologne from the Netherlands had been my only experience of Germany, but about 20 months later I would journey to Munich and Stuttgart. |
