Description
English: German mountain troops of the 5th Gebirgs-Division boarding a Junkers 52 at a Greek airfield, before flying to Crete, 20 May 1941. On that morning 3000 German paratroops landed at Maleme, Rethymno, Chania and Heraklion.
Français : Troupes de montagne allemandes de la 5e Division Gebirgs à bord d’un Junkers 52 sur un aérodrome grec, avant de s’envoler pour la Crète, le 20 mai 1941. Ce matin-là, 3000 parachutistes allemands débarquèrent à Maleme, Rethymno, Chania et Heraklion.
