Description
English: The U.S. Navy submarine USS Toro (SS-422) sinks the surrendered German submarine U-530, during tests 40 miles (70 km) northeast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts (USA), 28 November 1945. Note torpedo wake.
Note: The photo was released 28 November 1947, the actual torpedoing may have occured on 20 or 21 November 1945.
