English: A German Westland Sea Lynx Mk88A (s/n 83+10) flies over the U.S. Navy command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20), the Royal Norwegian Navy frigate KNM Otto Sverdrup (F312), and the German frigate Lübeck (F214) in the Baltic Sea on 8 June 2020. The ships participated in exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2020 in the Baltic Sea. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, marking the 49th year of one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations. |
