It is a lettuce that will grow under practically all cli-matic conditions, and is a remarkably good shipper.The plants are very hardy and vigorous, the heads Isometimes measuring ten to twelve inches across.The leaves are quite smooth and broad, wavy atthe edge, thin, very hard and crisp. Theheads are beautifully blanched, the innerleaves blanching to an attractive greenishwhite, tinged with light yellow. In colorthe heads are a bright light green tingedwith reddish brown. In flavor and quality webelieve the Big Boston tobe unsurpassed. If oneprefers a delicacy in bothtexture and flavor you willfind this variety superiorto any other. It is amighty fine lettuce.
