| Description |
Deutsch: Grabplatte des Mainzer Erzbischofes Gerlach von Nassau (1322(?)-1371) in der Basilika des Kloster Eberbach (Nr. 55).
Die Grabplatte bedeckte ursprünglich eine darunter liegende Gruft eines Wandnischengrabes mit Baldachinarchitektur, welches in der Breite der Platte an drei Seiten frei an der Nordwand des Chores stand. Die Grabananlage wird dem sogenannten Meister des Severi-Sarkophags zugeordnet. 1707 wurde das Grab in der heutigen Form umgestaltet. Die Gebeine Gerlachs von Nassau befinden sich seitdem in einer Wandnische hinter der nun aufgerichteten Grabplatte. |
